Emergency response to a major disaster is a massive and extraordinarily complex undertaking. The logistics of moving huge quantities of people, equipment, supplies and other aid into, around, and out of a disaster area is most challenging.

Disaster situations are almost always hampered by loss of power, the key to making most fixed systems function. The negative energy surrounding the disaster is further heightened by the loss of drinking water due to broken infrastructure, seawater intrusion, pumps not pumping, mass flooding with water, water, everywhere, etc. etc.

In big disasters, the complexity of the task seems to allow Murphy’s Law to pop up somewhere, sometime.

OUR SOLUTIONS FOR WATER & POWER PRODUCTION FOR EMERGENCY RESPONSE

We try to take some of the complexity out of the Response Phase. We, or our partner NGOs and Governments, simply rush equipment to the disaster site-of-need and make drinking water from any available contaminated source water, as well as generate electric power of the quantities demanded.

We by-pass many of the traditional logistical water and power bottlenecks. We bring in self-contained HELP Responder™ trailers pulled by go-almost-anywhere pick-up trucks. The trailer watermakers and powermakers can be setup and start producing in under 8 minutes. They deliver immediate drinking water of up to 99.99% purity…made from any polluted or salt water within 300 feet. And, they generate immediate power from diesel generators and/or solar panels.

Bottled water long has been the default emergency water response.

Many millions of dollars buy multi-millions of throw-away plastic bottles full of water each year. Warehouses are piled high awaiting the next disaster. The disaster happens and semi-trailer trucks roll, distribution networks buzz and fork-lifts scurry everywhere with 2,000 pound pallets of bottled water. Ultimately, desperate disaster victims get their bottle of water, drink it, do something with the empty bottle and then try to get more bottles of water.

We think there is a better way.

One of our new HELP Responder™ trailers arrives at the disaster point-of-need. A 300 foot hose and pump is put into any available water source, be it swamp, creek, stream, floodwaters, ditch or even the ocean. Our watermakers are turned on and out cascades up to 99.99% pure drinking water! All on-site, right where it is most needed.

If the disaster response lasts a week, the HELP Responder™ MAX, at full rated capacity, would have produced about 196,000 gallons of drinking water. That 196,000 gallons is the equivalent of over 800 tons, or about 1,500,000 half-liter plastic bottles of water.
