Reverse Osmosis (RO) filters water down to .0001 micron
.0001 micron is about 800,000 times smaller than a human hair
RO water is 99.99% pure water
RO removes almost everything from the water except the water molecules
Pure water is used for Drinking, Bathing, Cooking, Food Preparation
Utility Water
Nano Filtration filters water down to .005 microns
.005 micron filters out bacteria, virus, and many other pollutants
.005 microns does not filter out salts and some heavy metals
Generally, Nano Filtration produces Utility Water
Utility Water is used for cleaning, flushing, irrigation, remediation, etc.
Discharge Water
Discharge Water contains all the pollutants filtered out
The percent of Discharge Water varies by water source and mode used
